You’re not supposed to do that. Just like Burger King, McDonald’s, Checker’s, and Whataburger haven’t come up with anything original either. They just bring their special thing to the same food.

One of the things that held me back was not having a system to run my business through. I knew I wanted to write, but I didn’t know how to handle the business part of that. Business should be organized and streamlined. It should be a simple, straightforward process or else you’ll mess up your taxes, lose your files, and the IRS will arrest you. At least that’s how it was in my head.
All of the puzzle pieces were scattered, and I’d lost the box so I didn’t know what the picture was supposed to be.
I stopped using social media as a distraction and started using it for business in 2020. Before then, it had been a massive time-suck. There are studies that link too much social media with a high risk for depression, anxiety, self-harm, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts. It boils down to comparison and feeling inadequate about your life or how your look.

It’s a nonprofit that believes your story matters, and they host a global 30-day writing frenzy for the month of November. People from all over the world are focused on writing a 50,000 word first draft of a book.
It’s social networking event for writers worldwide.
Since writing is a solitary activity, the community aspect is amazing as well as thousands of people all working towards the same goal. I’ve signed up and participated in the past, but I’ve never won. I have always dropped out and given up before then.
